For this hypothetical research project, I would target Kean transfer students who have taken online classes. This group would help provide a concrete understanding of the transition experience, especially within the context of an online learning platform.
Data would be collected through a survey and interviews using a concurrent mixed-method research design. Self-administered and class-administered questionnaires would be used to gather statistical data on students’ academic and social integration, while qualitative data would be obtained through interviews with selected students.
This approach would provide a broad and holistic view of the factors shaping students’ transitions while also offering detailed insights into the specific experiences of selected participants.
